Moving to a new area is hard on any child. It is even more difficult if that child must learn a new language because of the move, especially if they must now learn mandarin. However, it is a language that is spoken in areas all over China and in this traditional communication, it allows you to speak to people regardless of the dialect changes depending on where you are. It eliminates the language barrier if you venture from the northern area to the southern, and when taught it is the traditional mandarin that a child will learn. This is why your child will benefit from our children mandarin enrichment program. We teach the basics in a whole new way.
Why Mandarin is Difficult to Learn
Any family that moves into a mandarin speaking area or country will face a challenge. Mandarin is a language that has many symbols and they are used to create words. Often a word may have others that are very similar, but because of a line being moved around, it changes the entire meaning. This is complicated. It gets very confusing to write, and for some, it is very difficult to speak. Children mandarin enrichment programs simplify the learning process by matching mandarin word symbols to things that a child can relate to.
About Our Program
Children who are between 18 months and 16 years can sign up to take our courses. It is a yearlong course that uses games and other creative ways to help a child learn Mandarin. They will learn by repeating the word and by putting it to use in ways that will make them easier to remember.
The course study is divided up into three sections. We start with the basics and work our way up from there. In most cases, by the end of that first year, our children are able to speak Mandarin well enough to make it through a doctor visit or ordering off a menu. They have the ability to communicate with others effectively and they have all the right basics to help them pick up other words as they continue to broaden their own horizons.
The Learning Continues from There
After our yearlong child Mandarin enrichment program, we provide smaller classes to continue helping our students grow and learn. Even adults are welcome to attend if they feel the need to practice more. We feel these are refresher courses to help people learn more about the traditional mandarin language. It furthers their ability to talk to others and do more while they live in this area.
Why We Work So Hard to Help
In the past, mandarin was taught in a very structured environment that made it difficult for kids or adults to learn. We discovered a more effective way to teach and have spent years, ensuring that it is even more effective. We teach by allowing students to learn. We teach by enabling them to use the words in their everyday life. It is worth it for us, because we want to watch our children learn.
